Ahmed Fakhfakh is a full professor at the National School of Electronics and Telecommunications of Sfax (ENET'Com), part of the University of Sfax in Tunisia, where he has been serving since 2015. In addition, he has been the General Director of the Digital Research Center of Sfax (CRNS) since 2023. Professor Fakhfakh earned his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from the University of Sfax in 2009, his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bordeaux, France, in 2002, and his undergraduate diploma in Electrical Engineering from the National School of Engineering of Sfax (ENIS), Tunisia, in 1997. He is the head of the research group "Intelligent Systems: Design and Implementation" within the Laboratory of Signals, Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Networks (SM@RTS) at the Digital Research Center of Sfax. His work focuses on a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, with particular emphasis on developing smart solutions for energy management within smart grids. He is also deeply involved in the design and implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, the development of wake-up solutions for wireless sensor network applications, and the creation of energy harvesting systems. Professor Fakhfakh’s research is at the intersection of energy efficiency, intelligent systems, and communication technologies, with a commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative solutions for modern technological challenges.
